Giving Thanks

"Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."

~Melody Beattie

"Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for."

~ Zig Ziglar

As we enter the season of giving thanks, I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to the students, parents and staff of Currey Ingram. At the risk of insulting the real poets of this world, I have been inspired by recent events in my life to dabble in a little poetry to express my gratitude for our school.

In a place where minds unfurl,
A school where differences twirl.
Celebration echoes in the air,
For learning diverse, beyond compare.

Not just a space of books and rules,
But a haven for unique tools.
A canvas where talents bloom,
In the heart of knowledge's spacious room.

A haven where minds soar high,
In a school where distinctions paint the sky.
Each mind a gem, a brilliant hue,
A spectrum of brilliance, a vibrant view.

Divergent paths, a tapestry wide,
In the school where differences abide.
Dyscalculia or dysgraphia's grace,
Here, all find their own special place.

Teachers with patience, hearts so kind,
Nurturing sparks in each young mind.
They see beyond the letters and words,
To the potential that waits to be heard.

In every challenge, a chance to grow,
A journey of triumphs that all will know.
With open arms and minds so keen,
A school where differences are seen.

Celebrate the victories, big and small,
In this haven where dreams enthrall.
A symphony of talents, a joyous sound,
In a school where learning differences astound.

So raise a cheer for each success,
For triumphs over challenges, no less.
In this vibrant tapestry, colors unite,
A celebration of learning, pure and bright

May you and your family have the most wonderful Thanksgiving season, and lest we forget, we always have something to give thanks for in our lives.

Thank you for your gratitude.
